Qualifications and Experience


I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for 27 years. I trained as a psychoanalyst with The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I am also a member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP)

My background is in the theatre and the Arts and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Birmingham. I have also taught in both mainstream and special needs schools.

As well as private practice I have a wide range of experience including psychotherapy for individuals and groups at Mind and the Studio Upstairs (Dalston). I also supervise psychoanalytic practitioners, counsellors and Art and Drama psychotherapists. I teach regularly at The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis (The Site) and the Philadelphia Association (PA).

I am a former Chair of The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and former member of the Training Committee. The Site has regular conferences and public events which I am involved in, I have also contributed papers to conferences at The Freud Museum in London and The William Alanson White Institute in New York
